THE MOLESTED PLAYER
WOW, being young it never felt so good,
having an Older Woman feel your wood.
Showing you things, that makes you brag and sing.
Not realizing the agony of this terrifying thunder,
which if found out would make the masses wonder?
To see a young man still wet behind the ears,
to see his innocents taken as he smiled behind his tears!!!
To hide the pain and shame of being molested,
a " master player" emerged who could not be tested!
No woman was safe from him reaching home base,
a challenging game( a woman) became his case.
From ease to hard came the race,
trying to find that one to stop his chase....
From a taste that was great,
to a feel that seemed so real,
to a smell he wish he could tell.
He searched for that one who had it all.
Traumatized by one, I craved something I lack.
So I devoured all women like I was hooked on crack..
No one was ever good enough to quench my fire,
which made me become just a big liar.
Make them feel special to play my game,
but in the end all it was, was Lame!!
To conquer was my claim to fame,
stickin' and movin' was how I played the game.
Giving no thought to the lives I've hurt.
Just challenging myself to put another notch in my belt,
closing my heart and not caring how the ladies felt...
As I wonder if there is a woman alive to change my path.
So I can give all my passion too instead of deceit and wrath.
Lies that turned into good-byes,
all because of my great disguise,
Fooling myself I was every woman's ultimate prize.
When a woman would become my only demise.
Having a wife thinking I could change my life,
but only thing I caused was grief and strife.....
But it comes a time for when the life I live in the secrets of night,
my power master " GOD " must bring it to light....
So until then,
I sit in darkness and cry and yelp,
waiting and praying to change my bitter life's taste.
Quietly hoping someone hears my cry for HELP!!!!
But most of all for "GOD's" mercy and His Grace..........
by Maurice aka: SHADOW
I sat by a window and thought of a rhyme
And decided to slow it down this one time
The summer is rolling in
And so much is changing
The older ages keep on approaching
And there is less time remaining
Every day you can consider the good and the bad
You weigh the value of the outcomes that you've had
Dandelions are a nuisance but they are beautiful too
Sparking the imagination and the fun things you used to
Do with them. Watching as they float on the breeze
The small whimsical little things
Imagining that they were fairies
And the joy that would bring
Ashes to Ashes and Dust to Dust
But in the moments that are remaining this Bud is for us
So go and grab you a drink of whatever is good to you
Shout it out to life and Toast it to the Blue.
Keep it cool yall.

"THE GAME"
Going to a party just to search for a girl,
to wine and dine her and give her a whirl.
From the simplest of lines,
to the best pick up lines,
I can get her without a sip of wine.
All these women trying to take me to bed,
when some to me was just a chicken head.
Let me explain how some felt they're stuff was so sweet that it could fascinate,
simple minded ones lie and say, two weeks after we went on that date,
they're late, to try to say they got me to inseminate.
The easiest of them all they can do is try to contaminate
then send you to the clinic burning to get that shot and pay the doctors rate.
Hmm, now you got the mean ones that try to make you Irate,
piss you off trying to make you hit them, then call the police, so the cops can incarcerate.
Let's not forget those who go Loco,
mess up your car now I have to call Geico.
The crafty ones feel they could take me to bliss,
just because they gave me that special kiss.
But truth of the matter is from our first bout,
they come to realize that they just got turned out !
All the while I was looking for that one who was not on a perch,
who was willing to go with me to church.
Help me find Jesus, so he can cleanse my soul and regenerate,
so the word of GOD can free my mind and illuminate.
So in the future I can truly find the right date.
But all of this is my rise to fame, trying not to look lame,
not to be bad and cause myself shame.
Turn around and find someone to blame,
When we're all the same.
From ashes to ashes and dust to dust we came,
staying on top is how we aim.
All in the name of playing THE GAME.....

    Origins: M2thaJ

    Before I begin
Let me let you all in
    On the M2thaJ
And what he used to be like
You know back in the day
    Since the age of three
    I was sure about me
    Didn't like the fights
    That were all around me
    You grow up thinking
    things are going to change
But the more you kept on looking
the more they stayed the same
When I turned six is when it really started
    Brother coming in drunk
    My mother broken hearted
    Trying bring the ruckus
Talking bout he gonna kill us
That can be hard to understand
For someone younger than a man
That was not the end for years
    This thing would roll on
The fights, the knives the guns
    All I kept on thinking
Is I just have to hold on.
    Mom wouldn't make him go
    Like a bad abusive marriage
But there's no way I would stay
    And let my future perish
    I worry all the time
even though he's now moved out
    Cause he still comes around
    To holler scream and shout
    You always love your fam
But sometimes you have to let them go
    If you want to live
    Remember I've told you so.
Break your chain. No matter what it is. The only cage is you. Fear is just a key to keep you locked up. If you hate your very life then you can escape it. Death and suicide is not the answer. Conquer, overcome, reclaim what's already yours. Freedom and self worth.

    M2thaJ

Ok ok. I will finally add my two cyber coins..
Wake up and smell the coffee,
freedom is there for the offer,
speak your mind while they still let you,
if it's popular enough they want berate you,
at one time we were not color blind,
not that is behind the times its a new level..of rhyme
integrity and conviction is more valuable than gold
but say something different dont fit the mold
truth is truth no matter the source
widespread morals are up for divorce
beauty with a brain is nowadays rare
have an opinion if you dare
little by little society puts us in a box
better guard your heart and don't give the keys..to the locks
    im outta here
    No static at all(pat stallings)

    Voice of a movement:

I remember the smooth sounds of hip hop

vibrating streets and windows as the bass dropped

slow rolling cars with windows rolled down

dressed like Run DMC and not like a clown

How fly it was to break dance on all the blocks

Dance battles no bloodshed on a cardboard box

movies that made us laugh and say

how they get him up on that ceiling

which made it cool. What a great feeling

but with all of that came the voice of recogniton

the need for conscious thought to point us to a mission

"I'm Proud to be black ya'll and it's a fact ya'll! And i will never never ever take it back ya'll"

"You gotta fight for your right....to Partayyyy!"

What ever made you stand up and say

i have more value i have more worth

than to sit here blowing trees

saying that it came up from the earth

iT WAS THE VOICE THAT CALLED US HIGHER

THE VOICE THAT LIT A FIRE

"bURN HOLLYWOOD bURN" WAS A FAVORITE ANTHEM

I started to understand that on the other side of the tracks

    it was us against them

But if i was going to be awake if i was going to be alive

then i had to step back

then it was up to me and i had to decide

was i going to be a follower and do what others said

or listen to heated magma truth that was boiling in my head

within us is a cause scratching to get out

but trying to hold it back is not what it's about

Reaching our potential. Leading our own private revolutions

in those separate journeys will come some sound reconstitutions

    of Conscience.

    M2thaJ

Brother Marius spoke of “private revolutions” – how profound!

Well here’s what I’ve got to lay down!

    I’m leading a peace revolt.

    All you reading take note.

I’m not talking world movement kind-

I’m talking individual peace of mind.

Exploring deeper consciousness with a goal of stronger self,

Seeking higher purposes, long life, and great wealth.

Not talking wealth as in dollars y’all (though don’t we all want that)

I’m talking wealth as in spiritual truth and meaning – that’s where it’s at.

And while I’m at it – gotta look at the health situation.

Purify and strengthen the body- give some doctors a vacation.

    The revolution begins within

Take stock of what is and ain’t and then begin

To focus on long-term healing-physical, spiritual, mental-body, soul, and mind

Then see just what kind of peace you will find.

Spring is here – time for cleansing, renewal, and healing

Let’s all have our own “private revolution” ritual of spring cleaning.

Out with negativity, jealousy and envy, anger, and those things that hurt and destroy

In with beauty, art, music, love, peace, and joy.

The peace revolt – starting here-now-today.

I stand positioned to lead it – with myself – and take it all the way.

    Won’t you join me?

Kimeya coming in from a brief hiatus – have a blessed weekend!

More on Personal Revolutions – Wars of the Mind

    Conspiracy theorist? Yeah that’s me!

Not ashamed to admit it, no-

I just need to speak about what I see

Agree or disagree – up to you, yo!

All this talk about the economy going south

Yeah, some of it might be true, but not for those at the top

Businesses closing, going bankrupt, laying folks off

Who hurts the most? Not “the man” – no, not the big bosses-not so much!

    Here’s what I believe

And you can take this however you please

I think its all a ploy

To get us back down on our knees

Begging and pleading for scraps again

No more nice homes or fancy cars

They want you to feel like you have to take what you can get

Lest you all think you can live like stars

The reaper has come to tear your American dream to shreds

How dare you think that applied to you!

You got too uppity – got the big head!

Got to knock you down a peg or two.

It’s another kind of terrorism game they’re playing

But this time the evil ones are attacking us where we live

Be afraid they say – be very afraid

‘Cause we ain’t got no more money to give.

Company money is tight-got to let some of y’all go

Not making the money we did last year

It’s only a little bit less than before, but we expected more.

    So sorry dear!

The truth is - there's money there

Do you really think these businesses would have so much lack?

They are just trying to find ways to get cheaper labor-they don't care

Trying to replace the longer tenured, higher salaried workers and push everyone else back.

So, what's a revolutionist to do, in a situation like this?

    First off - be aware

No need to get angry and point your fist

No need either to be too scared.

Prepare yourself for anything that happens

Get more knowledge and up your skills

Think about things that can be done other than what you're doing now

Entrepreneurship might not be so bad a deal.

Lets support each other more in our side hustles and personal ventures

Buy somebody's painting, let them sell and bake you a pie

Let's wage the war on the "so-called" economy a different way

By hooking each other up - then my oh my.

We can make this big y'all - trade services -I for you, you for me

I'll wash your back and you wash mine

If I have something to offer, I'll give it to you for free

If you can give me something back in kind.

If not, we can work out an agreement to purchase or trade

One way or another, we'll be taken care of and have it made in the shade.

    Let's get it started, y'all!

Kimeya comin’ out early to begin a four day weekend on a hot note! God Bless!

    Kim Alexander

1st amendment: No rights to it

    Speak Out Speak out

Go ahead and open your mouth

    Shout out shout out

Please tell the world what you're talking about

    But don't you start blastin

Flambéin and lambastin…anyone in your area

Hiding behind the wall of 1st amendment hysteria

"Don't you try to censor me and the things that I say"

"because I like being irresponsible and want to keep it that way"

yet you look at the world and think oh what a shame

want someone else to do somethin and won't take none of the blame

it's amazing in my eyes how such amazing things get twisted

because one person found a loophole everyone else miss it

the point...you see the rights we received that define you and me

does not mean we submit ourselves to a low-grade society

censorship yes can be a bad thing

but if it's not oppressive why would that be daunting

let's emotionally bully everyone until they let us have our way

tear down the walls of order let chaos and death rule the day

1st amendment let's us speak out against our government

to protect us in the face of tyrannical civil punishment

if you felt there was a need to go challenge the establishment

what a great country we live in; though we know it has its problems

but our goal is how, as a united group, we can work to solved them

if feeding curse words and hate to kids is your solution

sitting on your apathetic self righteous soap box searching for absolution

is a path and a cause that's worth fighting for

then what will you do when all the strength, character, and all your rights go out the door

why should you stop a child from his right to bear arms

so he takes it into school. yo what is the harm...in that

if I form a group into a local militia

right in the middle of your neighborhood

who cares if it doesn't fit into your social picture

intimidating yes that's why there is restraint

words are just another subversive weapon

when the wielders want to paint

    pictures with weak metaphors

    using words that underscore

the need for moral culture and conscious entities

Then and only then can fully enjoy our civil liberties.

M2thaJ- Enjoy your Memorial- Think about a veteran WW2 ya'll-love and thoughts

It’s Monday morning –trying to fight the first of the week blues-

Feeling worn out from last week from my head down to my shoes.

No rest for the weary – gotta keep on keeping on to pay my dues.

Can’t stop thinking for a minute – otherwise I’ll lose!

The weather is getting hotter in the ATL-it’s all over the news.

But the rain comes in here and there to as if to diffuse

Any outdoor plans you are trying to make

So, either you get soggy or you bake

Try to stay indoors where its cooler but that doesn’t make

For the best of summer fun days-some days its hard to take.

Looking forward to a vacation, but downside, gotta come back

And usually there’s piles of work waiting - yeah, that’s whack.

Work so hard trying to catch up that almost have a heart attack

And can’t do much else at the end of the day but hit the old sack.

What’s a girl to do in this work, work, and work some more world?

Can’t retire yet, not since all the economy drama unfurled.

401k money not what it used to be – set my plans in a whirl

Will I be able to stop working at 70? Or will working as Walmart’s greeter be in store then for this girl?

I guess for now I’ll have to focus on the little things that make the days seem brighter-

A complement from a co-worker, a good joke, they make the burden a little lighter.

A project finished and off my desk, a good poem or two from a fellow writer

A back rub, a kiss or two from the s.o., and a request to be held tighter.

    It’s the little things

That give the heart and soul wings

Make us feel like we can sing

    When everything else life brings

Makes us tired and wears us out

Little things give us something to smile about

Uplift us sometimes even to a shout

Look for the good little things – to help bring the good feelings out.

Remember what life is all about.

Kimeya trying to get re-energized. Have a great week!

It is a sad, sad day for us

We’ve lost one of our best

Say what you want about him –love him or not

He was individual, creative, the finest

      Entertainer there ever was

      Or ever will be

      No one can touch him

      At least not for me.

I still remember my very first concert

I bought the tickets with my own hard earned money.

The Jacksons Triumph or was it Victory Tour

It was 1982 – and what was funny

Looking back how I could actually afford on my $3.16 an hour salary

To buy not only my ticket but my sister’s ticket too and these were floor seats!

I was merely six rows away from the majesty,

      The awe and the splendor

      Of those beautiful men

Moving with the music so beautifully

      Again and again.

I lost my mind and stood in my chair

      And mimicked Michael’s every move.

I swear to you he saw me standing there

And smiled as he saw me try to prove

That I could be just as “Bad” as he was

Of course, I was no where close

But that smile I’m sure was just for me was all I needed

To get caught up and wrapped up in his music

So even when the world depleted

Him of all that he had left,

Sucked him dry to the bone,

I was pleading as he was

Please – just leave him alone.

I’ll admit – like everyone else

I lost feeling for him time and again.

But then I’d hear one of his songs, see a video

      And I’d remember when

We shared a moment – something special-

Maybe it was just all in my head, but to me it was real as can be

      Rest in peace, Dear Michael

From the folks who love you so dearly – and me.

Kimeya, praying for the Jackson family and everyone who loves Michael and the Jacksons.

        this week faces glisten

      eyes see ears listen
      too many have fallen
      the news reportin often
      micheal, farrah, and ed
all have been laid to bed
      sanford's embarrassing his state
iran's rights still out of date
      every issue vieing for attention
each topic must get a mention
      one heart seems more important
      you decide which is urgent
      while you pick your passion
      leave room for other's attractions
mj's absence is huge for me
      that breaking news rung tragedy
watching videos of him all day
individual mourning with nothing to say
you may be watching charlie's angels
praying God will eliminate cancer cells
each has value to him who feels it
be free to express you. don't conceal it
you do you because i will do me
this is your time. today you are free

      The Rain Must Fall
      tear drop stains
      from my heart they drain
sweet as a kiss they carress my face
Iconistic individuals now gone without a trace
      It's easy to be confused
for a person's name to be abused
it's easy to reprimand the outcry felt by many
if you don't take the time to feel the pain of any
To all those who know and have seen it all
sing it from your heart because
      the Rain must Fall
i don't know what it is
      but it's gonna come down
i don't know what it is
but i want to hear the sound
      cause the rain must fall
      Your hair it glistened gold
      and your part you sold
      as the golden angel
      hook line and sinker
many men were stung by your aphrodite stinger
or an arrow from her son cupid
the mere presence of your smile could make men feel stupid
you were gorgeous, lovely and full of life
your impact was greater than what i have said
Cause every can remember and cheered at "The Burning Bed"
even more you did till the end you served
here's hoping God gives you the send off you deserve.because
      the Rain must Fall
i don't know what it is
      but it's gonna come down
i don't know what it is
but i want to hear the sound
      cause the rain must fall
From the tender age of seven when i heard the song Ben
I have followed your career till now from then
When i first heard off the wall
I knew you were going to explode
And no matter how big you got
      still you strode
      to give more and more
      whenever you could
understand the loss of your own childhood
      you surrounded yourself
with all of the child loved things
      Neverland aside he astounded
      us every time he sings
You were the shot that was heard around the world
And became the inspiration for millions of boys and girls
      More could be said but
I can't get my head around it all,
because for all of us at some time...
      the Rain must Fall
i don't know what it is
      but it's gonna come down
i don't know what it is
but i want to hear the sound
      cause the rain must fall
To everyone who has seen the bevy of tragedy and been touched by it know that there are millions who understand
RIP to those deaths that were famous but even more to the ones that are not everyone matters to someone, and some matter to almost everyone, but all matter.

MEDIA STRIKE

The world is your stage but what are you going to make of it
You get to be a judge or host and you start to spittin venom wit
Your tongue. Spountin all kinds of obscenities
About a woman who worked hard and not trying to please
The masses or even the loud few
So for all the Perez Hilton's of the world this goes out to you
Put your foot in your mouth
Chew on it and be quiet
Put your foot in your mouth
Chew on it and be quiet
Cause if you had something in there you won't say something stupid
Because this style of life Miss America is supposed to bow to you kid?
Boisterous and arrogant demeaning and careening off of the ledge
Just because you don't how to be honest with yourself, don't try and put her on the edge
You asked a question, she answered with an honest answer it was her right choose
But because she didn't say what you wanted…what then she had to lose?
But homeboy don't get it twisted that was the life that you chose
And the world is not gonna fall in line because you write a few prose
Or throw hissy fit because you just can't cope
With the world that you're living in since you know that it’s broke
So-Put your foot in your mouth
Chew on it and be quiet
Put your foot in your mouth
Chew on it and be quiet
Your reaction is so telling of how simple and how fragile one individual can be
When they're screaming about rights, but are too blind to see
That the act they're committing is called Hypocracy
The answer isn't for her to say what you want to hear
It's for her to speak truthfully about what she holds dear.
You ought to be ashamed of yourself and that manipulation
Too bad that it backfired on you…in front of the whole nation.
So to you "Miss America" care of California
You stuck to your guns and I ain't hatin on ya.
M2thaJ-That's my voice.

Lookin like an oil slick
Ignoring all the haters
Cause their words can't stick
Not for you and not today
While the time it keeps on slippin
Who really cares what you say
But the kids are all trippin
Raising up to fight
But this kid ain't the one
And you just asked for a fight
Bullies are made for graves
Not everyone is forgiving
Think about what you do
If want to keep on living
I was made to survive
And I hope to do great things
So on and on I strive
To let loose so I can sing
You keep trying to pull me back
Because you don't have anywhere to go
So I will ask you one more time
And then I'm gone have to let you know
All the teased unite
Against the common foe
The bullies gotta go. the bullies gotta go
Don't let the cowards gang up on you
Against the many they can't grow
Stronger no longer this will not keep on happenin
I will stand up for myself
and as long as you keep coming
I'm gone keep on scrappin…
Never say die. We will not go quietly into that good night.
Rage.Rage at the dying of the light.
Instead-Make it burn….

you say coward, i would have to agree
see,
it's the little people ego trippin on you
but at the end of the day He,ll always take you thru

sometimes they trip you but only for a minute
just pick yourself up and keep yourself in it

nobody has the power to drop you from His cliff
He can hold you high and keep you adrift

at times you have to show and prove what you're made of
stand your ground and don't you flinch...in the name of love

you are bigger than the little people so go let them know
climb up and take your spot leavin 'em all like whoa

hickory dickory doc
no one can set your clock
you move the dial
you set the alarm
and like boom
you own the city block

I can see the beauty that God put in you
My hope is that you can see that beauty too
You are smart, you are witty you are fun to be around
Some of the things you do bring a lot of people down
You say don't judge, then you hold a grudge
I say these words with conviction and that's why I won't budge

The messenger isn't perfect anyone who knows me can see that
The messenger is concerned about your eternity, where will you lay your hat at?
The messenger wants to be a part of your solution
The messenger is having a hard time wading through your pollution.

The pollution of your mind
The pollution of your whine
The pollution of you thinking that you are always the victim
The pollution of you thinking that you have the right to hit them

One thing is certain, you will always feel pain
Where there is pain, there is something to gain
The pain isn't always just
But pain is a must
Through pain and the pursuit of what's right, is how your dreams become reality

Wrap your arms around it and believe!
Wrap your arms around it and believe!!
Wrap your arms around it and believe!!!!

Then you will have the power to achieve.

The songwriter says, “People make the world go round,”
But sometimes people sure can bring you down,
Turn your smile into a frown-
Make you wonder why you have them around.

But then there are the times they make you smile-
Touch your heart when their love on you they pile,
Give you joy by the mile
Make you realize that having them around is worthwhile.

Everybody has pain.
It comes to us just like the rain.
Sadly, some just folks just won’t refrain
From giving their hurt away over and over again.

We have to bless them and not curse.
Chances are they’ve seen the worst.
And the mess they hand us is not the first
That they’ve given out – nor is it the worst.

They see our joy and want to have it.
They don’t know they can just reach out and grab it.
It’s theirs and ours for the taking-no need to nab it.
We have to MAKE happiness a habit.

Once you know that its up to you
To name it, claim it, seek it for yourself – what do you do?
You find the center of it in the Creator – because He is the one who
Can help you ignore the distractions – and bring you through.

Love people but also let them be
That’s the way to truly be free
We can show them the way – but its not up to you and me
To help them find the joy that we
Have found and have everyday
They have to find their own way.
Be you, be happy – that’s how you lead the way.

Kimeya on a stormy rainy day – clouds in the sky, but not in the spirit! Have a great weekend!

Ado ...

I can’t help but wonder if
When she reaches middle age, like me
My daughter’s mind will be set adrift
On the music I exposed her to – or will she
Prefer the sounds on the airwaves now?
I just can’t see how.
See, I’m not trying to be down
On what today’s generation throws down,
But songs that toss around
Samples from my generations songs
And lyrics that are far from being strong-
I can’t help but think its just wrong.
I’m sitting here daydreaming
About afros, short skirts and platform shoes,
Listening to the Friends of Distinction
“Going in Circles,” “Love or Let Me Be Lonely”
And “I Really Hope You Do.”
Wasn’t music from my X-Generation time,
Rather, just a little after when I was born
But thanks to my parents and their record player
I heard the message in their music and passed it on.
Miles, Coltrane, Dizzy and Satchmo
Before my time, too,
But I’m so glad my ears were opened
To hear them and “Kind of Blue.”
I’m so glad my mom and dad found
Before they knew anything about what South Africa was about
Miriam Makeba and Hugh Masakela
And checked their music out.
I’m so glad I heard the music
And my eyes and ears were opened to it all
So thankful for the messages and the melodies,
I hope my daughter will be also, and that she’ll remember it all.
I wonder if when I’m older
And my daughter takes me for a ride
If she’ll pop in some music that I loved – because she loves it too
To make me smile like my father did with me when I did that – beaming with pride.

Kimeya grooving on the sounds of the past and looking toward the restoration of good music by our neo-soul artists – give them a listen and your dollars!
Have a great weekend!

Such memories of our past are so cool
sounds of youthfulness, freedom, back to school

sitting on the porch or under the tree
sippin lemonade and swattin away bees

i remember my mom's big stereo blasting tunes
we played spades all day until we saw the moon

into the house for more summer pleasure
crabs, shrimps, or maybe even lobster

we lived near the water you may have guessed
and for that experience i am so blessed

memories under the tree eating watermelons
listening to the old folk and their story tellin

jumping ditches, riding bikes, and driving cars
looking up at the same sky to see stars

wolfman jack was once again on the radio a.m.
tellin of crab cracks and oyster roasts again

now smell the cook that's about to jump off
first in line for a hamburger and a crab claw

every moment for me is attached to a music beat
mom's favorites thumps in me like an ice cream treat

so how to you usher in the new and keep the past
my new tunes and hers blend to make my memories last

now i too share all of this with my daughter and my son
while letting them share with me their favorite one's

this cycle i am sure builds life and love in us all
sweetness, connection...just having a ball

There are oh so many things in the world that make me wonder
Oh so many things that make me go hmmm…
So as you read and listen or maybe wrap the table with your thumb
If you are so inclined then come and get some…
Like why is it hamburger when there is no ham
And why people say lucheon meat when really it's spam
Why gay men and women don't you know ever hook up
Why does everyone always have to know what you got in your cup
If it rains it pours but what about just the drizzle
Drizzles need love too I mean just a little
When you hold up two fingers why does it mean peace
But why does it just come off looking just like a"V"
Why is the colbert report the best comedy on TV
When are they going to give Paula Abdul an IV
Let's see how else we can make lines end with V
It's not louis the 4th it's louis the IV
See how that goes just tricky little musings
So share what quirks you've noticed while you go and do your own thing…...

Marinate on good things
Life is too short
Take time to reflect
On things that have a positive effect
Be a seeker of the good you want to become
When you mess up you won’t feel so dumb
In your heart you know your intent
And that is time well spent
Marinate on good things
It will go well with your soul
It may well give you the opportunity to grow old

Spring came to Georgia last week –
She’s such a tease!
Bringing sunshine and blooming flowers
And the pleasures of a warm breeze.
Then she left - cold again
Began packing yesterday, as we knew she would
Left us feeling like a jilted lover
When winter’s cold returned – no good!
All the short sleeves and short shorts
Sun dresses and tank tops,
Bicycles and sunny smiles,
Sun tan lotion and flip flops
That came out prematurely
Must find a place to sit idly by
For when spring brings her triflin’ behind back
And the sun returns to the sky.
For now, its back to leather jackets,
Cardigans, and long sleeve sweaters
Cuddling in blankets by the fireplace
Instead of frolicking in sunshiny weather.
We’ll sit waiting with longing and anticipation
Until the storms pass and spring returns
And brings with her the promise and newness of the season
And the warmth for which our hearts yearn.
Of course, as is her way,
She won’t stick around for long
Summer comes in right behind her
Bringing the heat of the blazing sun.
We’ll complain a little and whimper
As we melt in the sweltering heat
But be happy in knowing
We can bare our ashy feet!

Kimeya trying to stay awake on a grey, cloudy day – wishing to be home under a blanket.

Have a great weekend!

Drama all around me
But I got tunnel vision
Won’t look to the right or the left
Peripherals can’t hamper this mission
Target is set
Aiming high
Accepting nothing less
But to touch the sky
Sweet jazz music
Playing in my head
Can’t concentrate on working
All I want to do instead
Is think of you
Thinking of me
Thinking of all
We can and should be
Dreaming of beaches
And walks in the sand
Scent of ocean air and salt water
Holding hands
Sunsets and sunrises
Soft kisses, surprises
Right now, all I can surmise is
You and me – a future?
Ain’t no lies to this.

Kimeya still riding the cloud…
Have a great weekend!

This haze its got me sleepy
i wanna fade to black
I stay up to watch tv
but then i don't know how to act
i start throwing tantrums
until my mind goes numb
i get to swelling all over
look at the size of my thumbs
Pants be gettin tight
and this is a losing battle
buttons bouncing off the walls
sounding just like a rattle
i continue getting bloated
taking up my space
the pants start to rip
and I'm showin every place
the constriction is getting worse
and i believe i'm turning green
frightening desperation
is starting to make me mean
Oh why oh why can't i just get in the bed
Entertainment does nothing for me
but mess me up in the head
now what am I gonna do
Cause i ain't edward norton
this green and swell i got is real
This ain't no paint i'm sportin
So I better hurry up and lay down for the night
the Hulk is really tired and he smash the pillow right
so with no further ado i say to you Goodnight....

A topic is not a topic
Until we stand up and shout it
Out at the top of our lungs for all the people
To catch their attention or else it would just be
Useless internal rhetoric
And tell me if you would
What kind of change would that get
You're hanging out on corners and you're wanting to get out
Instead of gangs and violence, what is this life all about
We keep on back and back and forth'n
When back in the day they use to drag us behind horses
Taught our children how to rape us
They took the cowards route cause they didn't want to face us.
Now it's time to take a stand but not against society,
But against ourselves, our stubborness, and our piety.
All things have place, and it is time we found ours
Looking for the sunny days and not speaking about the showers
So, please pick up the mic cause it's is your time to shine
You got to go for yours cause
I'm gonna go for mine.
Let's Shine...

Some days are just better than others
Some days just flat out stink
Some days you wonder why you even bothered
To open your eyes and blink.
When that alarm clock went off in the morning
And the sky was still black as night,
You struggled to lift your head from the pillow
Caught your reflection in the mirror-what a sight!
Your body is aching all over
Your eyes can’t stand the light!
The cold of the room greets you like a demon,
Your legs don’t want to act right!
But like a trooper you keep trudging on
And pray the day will get better.
You fight the traffic to get to work
Then the rain comes-streets get wetter.
Folks start driving like slugs,
Pumping their brakes.
Some start slipping and sliding
On wet pavement like hot snakes,
You finally get to work safely
And breathe a sigh of relief.
Look at your paycheck online-
It’s short – Good freakin’ grief!
What next!
You ask yourself in disbelief.
Then you sit down and brood
Until you realize that won’t do any good.
Then in a moment of clarity you pray for guidance,
Get up and do what you can to change your mood.
Go to the powers that be
And make them aware
Then give it to God
And know he’ll answer your prayer.
And as He tends to do
He comes through with shining colors
Problem solved, the light parts through the cloud
Then your day – instead of stinking - becomes better than some others.
What more can you ask
Now that all things are again rosy
But to go home and spend time with your new beau
All comfy and cozy.
The weekend approaches
Time for rest and recreation possibilities
Some days are better than others, you tell yourself,
And that’s how this weekend is gonna be.

Kimeya coming from her cube of possibilities-
Have a great weekend!

Ahh, I feel Spring time approaching
before Winter closes its eyes to bed
I feel much excitement spreading
without doubt, panic, or dread
Passion is wrapped up in it all
Warm, fun, time, and chance
In unison these grab you up
Spinning you in a Hope dance
Are you ready to chase your dream
no matter how big or how far
Are you ready to spread your wings
no matter how old you are
when the seasons change so do we
our walk, talk, and even our desires
so i want you to strut with me right now
yes, even now, before winter retires

How’s the view from the clouds?
My heart is filled with joy and I shout so loud
Often I ask myself how can it be?
Are all of these emotions are suppose to be for me?
I've felt this for a while
Yet I'm very in touch with my style
Cart before the horse
It's hard to endorse
I want to love again,
But how do I begin,
The memories of past pain
So much like a stain
On a bright white cotton shirt
The perfection of the fabric I can remember no more
The image of the stain is what I abhor
In order to save myself,
I decide not to put my feelings on the shelf
I choose to feel the breeze and enjoy the view from the clouds
I will learn from my past, but I won't use the past as the reason
A life fulfilled is truly how I want to live this season
May you continue to soar but never ignore that the ground is underneath you.

Give it up for Valentine's
A day to appreciate and make love shine
For some it is happy day filled with glee
For others it's a waste so fiddle lee dee
Keep it hot and don't stop b/c you have no one
It can be a day that you just have fun
Spreading cheer and all that stuff
For some it is good to save a couple of bucks
Even if you have it , you don't have to spend it
Write a letter; it's better
Watch them glow and bask in it.
No matter what you do
And this is from me to you
Have fun all day
And to your own heart be true.
Signing out for Syruppy rhymes. Come on and Drip with me...

Valentines Day – the Monday After
Remembering the weekend’s joy and laughter
The surprise of an old teenage love thought well in the past
Come back to claim a heart in stone cast
From years of wear and tear, the damage done-
No room for hope, fear’s battle won.
Then, out of nowhere – first a birthday wish,
A five hour phone call, dinner, a tender kiss,
Sweet as the first bumbling, nervous, messy one,
But (thank goodness) revised in grown up form.
Maturity, wisdom, experiences good and bad,
Remembrances of innocent love recalled, and good times had.
The same smile as before, the secure embrace,
The hands that held mine so gently when we danced in place,
Break down the defensive barrier, penetrate the shield!
Fear gives way a little, but will it completely yield?
Caution still the word for the day, moving slow-
Still – hope springs eternal, and its so good to know
That something wonderful could be mine-
Something wonderful that happened – On Valentines.

Kimeya dazed and confused, but loving it –
Make Valentines Day every day, young lovers!

But I can use Word
Pullin up pant's till they go past my navel

Walkin down halls with coke bottle glasses. Proud
