Ok. I intended to start my blog today with my traditional FreeStyle Friday!!!! because i was feeling it earlier, but now that it has gotten pushed back to the end of the day...well it is just not as important. Which leads me ... Azure Thinking...Think about this: What are your priorities? I have recently been evaluating my own especially considering the business and activities i have wrapped myself in. Of course you have no idea what i am talking about so let me share: for the last 4 years or so i have been working to develop severla prooperties and get back to some of my art passions in an attempt to translate those into cash. The first thing i tried was My www.WildThrashers.com where I took design for characters i had created and placed them on shirts in hopes to have the online community come in and purchase a shirt creating for me a good source of residual income. the impetus for these characters is a trading card game that is comprised of skateboard fighters, paintballers, and MMA combatants. I haven't given up on these, but you will see how this all adds up. I also came up with a sister site call www.urflybaby.com in this same vein.
Next, I began writing a book. And that has gone pretty well i have gotten good feedback from those who have indulged. However correcting many small gramatical errors has sidelined me for many years. I sent out on proposal which was not well written and therefore rejected. That story is also not over.
I then decided to try to get back into airbrushing which i love. but to make a good living doing that it is imperative that you have a steady stream of clientele. Malls are a perfect ground for the traffic but their costs are outlandish.
I have thought about caricatures but the same trouble as the airbrushing. And i do all of this working a 9-6 for a major bank, taken care of a wife with a chronic pain disease, a daughter with bi-polar disorder ( as is my wife), and a son who is ADHD and at times exhibits BPD as well.
So what does all of this have to do with priorities? when you are thinking about your life and see all of the trouble including bills and responsibilities coming to the fore, what then really matters to you, what becomes your priority? is it the jobs to make the money? is it your family with all of their needs? is it your dreams because at least you can be happy? what is first for you? This is a hard question to juggle and an even harder dilemna to resolve. Everyone wants to be happy, most of us don't want to neglect our families, and unfortunately, we all need money to survive. these variables bring about revelation. Our major priority has to do with what we must first. Dreams, sadly must follow in its wake. So as you are home out with friends but in the back of your mind you are weighing these or similar thoughts...Azure Thinking...think about me.

Day Dreaming
I was heading in to work
you know like any other day
when something on the news
made me wanna stop and say
will today be the day that i finally make the switch
when i run some people over
or i drive into a ditch
Or is it going to be my chance to get my AK
Pop in the catridge and lay me down some spray
Or maybe it's the chance to help the haters discredit my race
by killings others like me right before their face
These types of things they make me crazy and I do not understand
How we can spend so much time chasing and blaming things on the man
when it all comes down to you or it all comes down to me
we have to stop and take a moment
and hope we can still see 'The Dream'
Oh it makes me wanna scream
the dream
Remembering Martin Luther King
the dream
Why do our children keep on murdering
the dream
Young people take your future back
and try to catch
the dream
I wish i had the answer
and i know so do you
it's hard to climb a ladder
when you're beaten black and blue
by images and preconceptions
from stereotypes and generalizations
snippets and video editing
being pumped onto your flat screen
all because some are betting
they can finally kill 'The Dream'
Oh it makes me wanna scream
the dream
Remembering Martin Luther King
the dream
Why do our children keep on murdering
the dream
Young people take your future back
and try to catch
the dream
But let's understand and let's finally get the picture
none of this will even matter, and it won't make you any richer
if you don't care about yourself or the image of your people
You may say i don't know about how it really is
and that may well be true
but i'm not killing other kids
If that is what takes to get a clue
or for me to keep it 'real'
to that i can't be true
and i'm sorry i can't 'deal'
I hope these words are gaining steam
And i hope you see 'The Dream'
Oh it makes me wanna scream
the dream
Remembering Martin Luther King
the dream
Why do our children keep on murdering
the dream
Young people take your future back
and try to catch
the dream
Rappers keep on postin
Talkin about their paper
They keep on boastin
remember back in the day
when you didn't have thing
it was hard to find your way
and all you could do is sing
tHEN AND THERE YOU HAD A DREAM
But once you got to where you wanted
all the dollars that you flaunted
out there kickin up dust
butinstead of sitting at the front
you're at the back of the bus
by the way you act
It must seem fun to have a gun
to bust a few shots just for fun
to see the people cut and run
You've got your fame you got shine
and you think that's bottom line
screaming about the money that you got
about the people that you shot
Your teeth and how you grill it
You got the trigger you'll pull it
One of your listeners cut you down
standing in that gangsta lean
he's been living in the gutter
and blinded by the anger and the cream
It would have been so much better
If he could have caught 'The Dream'
We have to teach our children what we've been fighting for
not from a forum, but one on one. I know it's hard and i don't know how to stem the tide of violence going on across the nation. But I pray that soon there will be change in us.
