Freestyle Friday!!!!!!! 2/20/09

Alright! Here we go! We're are going to give this a whirl for all the hip hop heads and rap all-stars. This is something I would like to do every week so let me know if you are on board.
Here's the deal:I will compose a set of lyrics via email and send it out. Those who want to participate add yours to the email and send to everyone on the list [reply to all] and any others you want to share with. Want me to drop you FROM THE LIST? JUST LET ME KNOW.

Instead of gangs and violence, what is this life all about

When back in the day the use to drag us behind horses
Taught our children how to rape us
They took the cowards route cause they didn't want to face us.
Now it's time to take a stand but not against society,
But against ourselves, our stubborness, and our piety.
All things have place, and it is time we found ours
Looking for the sunny days and not speaking about the showers
